Situated in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, Emerson Creek Pottery has been offering handmade American heritage pottery since 1977. Each piece is handmade, hand painted, and fired in a gas kiln. Pottery collections include dinnerware, bakeware, kitchen ware, lamps, clocks, and bathroom accessories.
There are currently 13 featured lines of pottery. We received a cracker basket with the Field of Iris – a signature pattern since 1977. Priscilla Palmer of Emerson Creek Pottery says that trips to the Freer Gallery of Art, Smithsonian museum, in Washington, D.C., were the inspiration for Japanese Irises. Beginning with a single deep cobalt blue flower, the Field of Iris design now features three blue iris flowers with leaves.
Something in the strength and delicacy of this special flower speaks to our customers’ hearts. ~ Priscilla Palmer
Each piece is microwave and dishwasher safe, lead-free, and ovenproof. The pottery is stamped to show that the pottery is an authentic piece of Emerson Creek Pottery.
