We received a Lĕvoit Cora Himalayan Salt Lamp for the purpose of a review. Salt lamps are well-known for their ability to help remove dust, pollen, and other allergens from the air. The salt crystals attract water molecules and absorb them. When the water evaporates from the crystals, the allergens are trapped in the salt. When the salt dries out, they can continue cleaning the surrounding air.
The salt lamp arrived neatly packaged in a box with an additional layer of protective bubble wrap. The box is red with a pretty holographic pattern.
The lamp is made of BPA- free plastic. It includes a cord with a USB connection so that you can connect it to a USB port on your laptop or computer. If you’d prefer to use an outlet, you can connect the 5V adapter. The length of the cord is fairly long, too. The lamp does not have batteries or have an option to charge it. I also received 3 replacement bulbs.
The salt lamp includes hand-selected 100% natural Himalayan salt crystals that are different sizes and shapes. After unboxing the lamp, you will need to remove the protective plastic cover and inner plastic sleeve from the lamp. I used a microfiber cloth to gently remove some of the salt on the outside of the lamp.
The salt crystals are pink when the lamp is off. In the dark, they have a soft amber glow. With the adjustable touch control button, you can control the salt lamp’s brightness.
Negative ions released by salt lamps are supposed to help reduce stress, increase energy levels, and enhance your mood. Although the lamp can connect to a computer or laptop, I plan to keep it by our bed. I think it’s calming and I like the soft glow.
