    Well, unfortunately I could not get the website to load for some reason?? But, I THINK I remember learning many years ago in school, that Virginia was one of the original colonies?? One of 13, possibly?? Thanks!! 🙂

    I did not know that about one fourth of Virginians work for the United States government. That is a high amount!

    I learned that Pearl Bailey was born in Virginia. I did a school project in 1983 and wrote to her asking for her autograph, She sent me a book and a couple other items and I always thought so much of her after that. 🙂

    I almost got married in VA – we ended up doing it here in MD, but VA had so many gorgeous venues for weddings. being a MD resident, I knew about Chincoteague except I did not know before visiting this page that they maintain a max of 150 horses!

    So I have heard of the founding of Jamestown of course, but forgot that it was in Virginia! That website reminded me that Virginia sure has a rich heritage in America’s history.
