Abandoned in Virginia Forgotten Buildings

Know of any abandoned homes, factories, and other buildings in Virginia? A new Facebook Page called Abandoned in Virginia launched on March 3, 2014. In less than two months, it has over 105,000 followers. Fans of the page can submit their own photos and comment on the stories of the buildings.

A few weeks ago, a photo was posted of Rehoboth Mennonite Church in Schuyler, Virginia. Some people thought the church was abandoned because it’s covered in ivy. However, several local residents commented on the fact that it’s still in use. Two of our friends were married there in the summer of 2011.

If you’re curious about a building, you may find that someone can share more information about its story or additional photos. Hope you enjoy visiting their page!
