As Matt and I were sitting in our living room Friday evening, we both looked at each other as I asked, “Is that the wind?!” Within minutes, we had our flashlights, survival bag, and Eton radio. Although one of our cats decided to wedge herself under our bed, we were able to bring one our cats inside the only room in our home without windows- the bathroom. The wind actually sounded like a train in the distance and according to our radio, winds reached 60-70mph. We could hear hail bouncing off the roof.
The next morning, we drove to the house of Matt’s parents with coolers packed full of food review products for our blog and some of our groceries we had just purchased. The photo above is just one of the trees near our home that came down from the storm.
The evening before, I brought one of our deck chairs inside. Our cat, Dubie, was the first to take it over.
Meisha eventually confiscated it from him, though. With the exception of not having air conditioning, the cats didn’t seem to mind too much that we didn’t have electricity.
Did you have any storms in your area over the weekend?
