After developing a natural skincare product line over several years for clients, friends, and family, Joanne O’Donnell founded Be Natural Organics. Products are sold at various naturopathic offices, dermatology offices, organic shops, day spas, and online at www.benenaturalorganics.com.
In addition to making products in small batches in order to only provide the freshest botanical enzymes, every step is taken to ensure that ingredients are non-toxic.
Using plant enzymes to promote cellular regeneration, Be Natural Organics provides a toxin free skin care system. Unlike many skincare products, aloe vera is used in place of water for many of the products made by Be Natural Organics. With the ability to penetrate skin deeper and more quickly, aloe vera serves as an aid in the process of absorption and repair of the skin.
I had the opportunity to try samples of the Anti-Aging Collection by Be Natural Organics. There are four parts of the collection.
Bio-Active Cleansing Treatment
The foaming cleanser was very easy to apply and I only needed a small amount to cover my entire face and neck. It had a very light fragrance and I didn’t feel anything abrasive as I used it to cleanse my face. Aspen bark extract gently lifts surface debris from the skin while triggering the production of collagen and elastin. My skin felt clean and soothed after completing the first step.
Daily Botanical Enzyme Peel
The exfoliation process felt just as gentle as the cleansing treatment. I followed the recommendation to only leave it on the surface of my skin for a few seconds. (The directions recommend that you work into longer periods of time.) Because my skin is sensitive, I was expecting that this step would cause a burning sensation or at a minimum, redness in my skin. I was pleasantly surprised to be left with a clean and refreshed feeling.
Niacin Complex Mist
The balance mist helps to adjust the pH level, tighten tissue, improve skin tone, and refine pores. The mist was very light and easy to apply.
Sea Kelp Moisturizer
I liked the moisturizer because it didn’t leave an oily residue on my skin. The moisturizer also helps to continue the process of exfoliation by using aspen bark extract.
Some of the benefits of the Anti-Aging Collection include:
- Increase in collagen and elastin production (up to 400 times the normal rate)
- Refined skin texture that is toned and has fewer fine lines and wrinkles
- Stronger cellular structures and removal of damaged surface cells
- Improvement with skin discoloration
- Increased antioxidant activity
With any skincare product, you need to try it for a few weeks to determine how it will work for you. I’ll post an update by the end of June with more information about how the Be Natural Organics Anti-Aging Collection has worked for me.

If you are currently using organic and natural skincare products, what made you decide to stop using regular products that contained ingredients such as sodium lauryl sulfates and parabens?
